Budding Naturalists Sleep-Away Series

Ages 7-10

August 17-18, August 18-19, August 19-20

For many of our young, budding naturalists, this is the first sleep-away camp they will experience. We are offering three uniquely themed, one-night sleep-away camps for the young outdoor enthusiast age 7-10! If you’re child is a confident sleep-awayer, feel free to sign them up for multiple, concurrent camps for a longer stay, however if this is your child’s first time away from home, we recommend starting them off with a one-night stay to ease them into the experience.

Ages: 7-10 years old

Dates:

August 17-18, 2020: Little Fishies

August 18-19, 2020: Wolf Pups

August 19-20, 2020: Tree Buds

What’s Included: All meals, lodging, and fun!

What to Bring: Visit the “Experience” tab on our website to find all necessary documents.

A signed copy of:

  1. Health and Photo Release Form
  2. Code of Conduct
  3. Parental Consent
  4. All items on the “Youth Camp Gear List”. We do have some items (rain coats, day packs, etc.) available if your child is in need.

Spots fill up fast so be sure to register early!

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child has any special requirements (dietary, medical, physical, etc.) so we may meet their needs. You may send snacks with your child, but all food must be stored in special bins in the Mess Hall to avoid any curious critters visiting our bunkhouses.

We hope to see you soon!

About each camp:

Little Fishies

August 17th-18th

Kids will transform into tiny trout and dive headfirst into the watery world of our local rivers and streams. Games, crafts, and bug catching in the creek will inspire these little fish to appreciate the underwater world that surrounds us.

Monday August 17th: 4:00pm drop-off and check-in at our Big Creek campus (6500 N. Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928)

Tuesday August 18th: 4:00pm pick-up and check-out our Big Creek campus (6500 N. Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928)

Wolf Pups

August 18th-19th

Howling is encouraged at this camp where kids will run, jump, and play like a wolf pack as they learn about the megafauna that surrounds us in Northwestern Montana. Luckily for parents there’s a New Moon forecasted during camp, so no kids will return as werewolves… hopefully.

Tuesday August 18th: 4:00pm drop-off and check-in at our Big Creek campus (6500 N. Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928)

Wednesday August 19th: 4:00pm pick-up and check-out our Big Creek campus (6500 N. Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928)

Tree Buds

August 19th-20th

Like the leaves of the aspen tree, kids will get the chance to dance, flail, and be downright free as we explore the wonderful world of plants. Your little tree buds will return home with their own original plant pressings, and a newfound knowledge of the green world around us.

Wednesday August 19th: 4:00pm drop-off and check-in at our Big Creek campus (6500 N. Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928)

Thursday August 20th: 4:00pm pick-up and check-out our Big Creek campus (6500 N. Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928)
