Based on a curriculum that meets the national standards for First Responder with additional protocols for extended care situations, this 72 hour course is the standard wilderness medicine course for many outdoor organizations’ supervisors.  You will learn through lecture and hands on emergency scenarios how to respond to wounds, fractures, dislocations, and other injuries as well as illnesses.  Emphasis is placed on prevention and decision making.  This course is ideal for anyone who works or recreates in the backcountry.
