Late spring in Glacier is the best time to search in wet meadows and under the forest canopy for Glacier’s orchids, from the showy fairy slipper to the subtle twayblade.  Steve has spent thirty years searching for the elusive orchids of Glacier (twenty-three recorded species) which he calls “belly flowers”, because you often have to get on your belly to find and appreciate them.
