The Pacific harlequin is the only duck
in the world that divides its time between the torrential,
cold mountain streams of Glacier National Park and the
heavy surf of coastal waters. Sharing the breeding pattern
of the salmon, harlequins return each year to the same
stream where they hatched in order to mate. Come with
us as we visit McDonald Creek where an impressive number
of these secretive birds return each spring. |
