Full Course Details
Capture the intricate details of summer
in Glacier Park and learn drawing fundamentals that will
enhance your connection to nature. Together we’ll draw
everything from wildflowers and wildlife to peaks and panoramas
and experiment with different styles and media. We’ll
explore a forest burned in the 2003 fire season and learn
simple ways to create gesture and line drawings while capturing
the textures of snags and re-growth. At Lake McDonald,
we will practice composing panoramic drawings and work
on shading. Hiking through alpine tundra, we’ll capture
the texture and colors of summer in Glacier National Park.
We’ll experiment with the versatility, depth, and convenience
of colored pencils and also work with graphite, charcoal,
and pen and ink to create vibrant drawings.
