Credit,
based on a semester system, is available for many of The
Glacier Institute adult programs through the University
of Montana (UM), Montana State University- Great Falls
(MSUGF) and Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC).
For Montana teacher recertification, renewal units are
available from the Office of Public Instruction (OPI) and
credit courses may also apply. Consult your school district
and state Office of Public Instruction for verification.
Academic credit fees are separate and are paid upon arrival
to the class. Grades
are submitted by course instructors upon receipt of final
projects.
Credit availability is listed at the bottom of each course
description.
UM and MSU-GF: These courses are offered for lower and
upper division credit. In some cases graduate credit may
apply. A credit fee is payable upon arrival to the class
in addition to the Institute’s course fee, $135 for UM
and $164.76 for MSU-GF. Minimum age is 16.
FVCC: These courses may be taken for lower division credit.
The college is accredited by the Northwest Association
of Schools and Colleges. A $70 credit fee is payable upon
arrival to the class in addition to the Institute’s course
fee. Minimum age is 16.
OPI: These course are offered for renewal units for Montana teacher recerfication. A $20 fee is payable upon
arrival to the class in addition to the Institute’s course
fee.
