The
Glacier Institute thanks the following businesses, individuals,
and organizations for their support of our youth field-science
programs, Discovery School, for K-12 students at
the Big Creek Outdoor Education Center.
Thanks to their annual donations, the Institute provides
more than 1,200 children with the opportunity to study forestry,
wildlife biology, aquatic ecology and other subjects in Glacier's
backyard. For many children, their experience at Big Creek's
Discovery School is the highlight of the school year, and
for others, it's the beginning of a lifelong interest in
the natural world. We can only guess at the number of future
biologists, botanists, chemists, and other scientists who
have walked through Big Creek's doors over the years.
